NxGen COACH Network™ has a Joint Venture with Elev8 Foundation committed to provide economic development and access to quality education and healthcare services to populations in The Gambia and sub-Saharan Africa.
Project Overview
Smart Kids Academy
In Sanchi Muttel, North Bank Region of The Gambia, most children walked miles on unsafe roads to attend school. After a child experienced a tragic accident in 2016, Mr. Ebrima Njie founded Smart Kids Academy (SKA) to provide a safe learning environment and support the agricultural community.
In 2022, the Elev8 Foundation raised funds need to provide a borehole (water well) for clean drinking water, as part of the Joint Venture between NxGen COACH Network™ and the Elev8 Foundation, after recognizing SKA’s need and the students’ exceptional progress.
In 2023, SKA students achieved the region’s highest standardized scores, outperforming state-funded schools, but faced limited classroom space for its secondary school. To ensure continuity and maintain educational quality, NxGen COACH Network™ and Elev8 Foundation partnered with SKA to build the Smart Kids Academy Jr. Secondary School. Completed in 2024, the school now serves 323 students (154 boys and 169 girls), ensuring quality education.
